About Us

I am a food and nutrition professional, educator, wife and mother.  I have taught in higher education and worked in food service and health care.  Most recently, I have been teaching at a local community college.  I love that job.  However, recently God laid it on my heart that I needed to be at least somewhat of a stay-at-home mom.  At the same time, I interviewed for a permanent full time teaching job and had several people tell me that I should sell my cakes.  I did not get the teaching job, and the likelihood of my current temporary position getting renewed seems  slim (due to financial reasons, not job performance).  So, I decided that was my sign to stay home with my toddler and try to start a home-based business to continue to bring in some income.

I am a Registered Dietitian, so I have a bachelor's degree in nutrition and food science, and I completed an internship that included medical and food service training.  I am well versed in food safety and food handling.  Foods that I prepare will always follow safe food handling procedures.
